1 year after season 2, Ken moved to California, and went to a highschool in Acamina. There he met Jenni, who turned out to be digidestined but somehow never found out. They worked with Willis to find other 'Lost digidestined', like Jenni's friends AJ, Brandy, Pirelli and Brain, while dealing with Daemon.
During the summer, they met some kids from a different dimension-Jasmine and Sam. They helped the Lost digidestined when they met Isadora, a girl who helped banish Daemon away in the end, alone with herself.
The next year, they found out that other friends, Kenny, Ponce, Michelle and Alysha were digidestiend, but according to Galulumon, an evil digimon on Kertermus island, they were Aspect digidestiend. The Aspect digidestined worked together with the Lost digidestined to beat Galulumon and reveal her as Lunamon, Alysha'a partner. Lunamon gives them the D-Porters, devices to transport them to any dimension. They use them to visit Jasmine and Sam.
Then a final spell of Daemon come to them, putting Brandy and AJ into a coma. Unsure of where Daemon and Isadora were banished, they use the D-Porters to travel around and try to find them. Right before finding the right one, they meet Realemon, a illusionist digimon who escapes into their dimension. They send Realemon to their digital world for the moment while they go to Daemon's dimension. They find Isadora, who tricks Daemon into putting the spell on her instead of Brandy and AJ. The spell's effect changes due to the dimensional travel, making her be a teenager forever.
They all go home happy, and relax. The next year starts, and Jenni, Brandy, Ken, and Jasmine go to CSU Acamina (Jasmine moves to their dimension because she likes it better). Hidimon, Jenni's psychic digimon, decides to visit Realemon, unaware of the trouble she had caused. Hidimon gets a human illusion, and goes to the college too, not knowing that Realemon's illusion was making her go under Realemon's power. Hidimon tricks all the digidestined to the Digital World for a party, and Realemon seals the gate, so they are trapped, with no way out and knowing that they need to stop Realemon from taking over the digital world.
